First off, I’m not a believer in twisting yourself like a pretzel into someone you’re not.
True leadership is about building on your personal strengths and talents – becoming the best leader you can be in YOUR style for YOUR team.
And no, this isn’t some idle belief dreamed up in an ivory tower.
I’ve been in the trenches just like you, working my way up to the C-suite (American Express—at 34). And then, diving head first into a new company, learning their culture at 90 miles an hour with my hair on fire (Household Finance, Enesco and Trizec Properties).
Along the way I discovered that my true passion was about helping others to realize their potential—how can you reach your personal pinnacle as a leader?
So I went back to university for my Master’s (in Management and Organizational Behavior) and put myself through rigorous coaching and assessment certifications. Because I wanted to blend my hard-won practical experience with new wisdom from the best teachers and practitioners.
I don’t believe in leaving things to chance.
Which is why when my client’s team member was carried out by paramedics after an on-the-job anxiety attack, I knew what to do. A year later, his now high-performing team is thrilled to have him at the helm.
His potential for greatness was always there—he just needed the right guide to turn it into day-to-day performance.
And that’s why I do this work—guiding leaders to their authentic, highest form of leadership that creates immediate human and financial results.
That’s also why in my free time, I work with two organizations that are all about discovering potential and encouraging personal success: Almost Home Kids (helping medically fragile children and their families live their best lives) and CASA, the court-appointed special advocate program (giving a voice to abused and neglected children to help them see and realize their dreams).
Translating high potential into high performance is woven into my DNA.
How about you – are you ready to step into your full potential as a leader?
